2023 Dawn Trashwheel™ Unit Mounted Row Cleaner 1140W-5
Lifetime Guarantee Against Trashwheel Bending or BreakingThe simple screw-adjust mechanism allows you to fine tune your row cleaning.
TrashwheelsThe Trashwheels shown here have our new magnetically retained handle. It can be adjusted by hand, or with a 3/4" socket.
The Industry's Best HubAll Dawn hub housings, equipped with Timken tapered roller bearings, are castle nutted to our nitride coated shaft. Dawn hubs are regreaseable. Simply grease until clean grease pushes past the triple-lip seal. Dawn 15" trashwheel integrated hubs use the same bearings and seals found in the standard hub. Trashwheels are mounted between the housing and our o-ring sealed Supercap.
Floating TrashwheelsIf you will be using your planter primarily to plant into bean stubble, Floating Trashwheels equipped with depth bands generally work very well. Depth bands are used most often if you will be working your ground. In most cases, however, especially if your ground is flat or rolling hills, you may want to look at a rigid row cleaner, that hugs tight to the V-opener blade like our standard Dawn Trashwheels.
For White PlantersIf you have a pre-1993 Kinze planter or a Kinze planter with John Deere MaxEmerge row units you will have to order the 1140-5 mount. This mount will only fit pre-1993 Kinzes and JD 7000's.
1140W-5, White 8000If you will have a post-2010 White 8000 series planter, you can equip your planter with Trashwheels using the 1140W-5 mount. This mount keeps the screw adjust mechanism clear of the lower parallel linkage cross support.
An American Classic for 30 YearsThe Dawn TrashWheel Row Cleaner has existed for 30 years and is a timeless staple of American farming. The quality of the forged wheel and hub, and tapered roller bearings stand apart in an industry increasingly populated with throw away products. In the old days the founder of Dawn, Jim, would throw the toothed wheel into the air, letting it land on concrete to demonstrate the strength.
